Havells India Limited, a technology-led Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) and consumer durable company today celebrates the 25th anniversary year of Havells Alwar manufacturing plant which was established in 1996. The brand produces the entire range of industrial and domestic cables in the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Alwar, Rajasthan. It spreads over an area of 100 acres and is the largest integrated single-location cable plant in the country.

Since its inception, Havells has borne the flag of ‘Make in India’ and has cemented its belief of self-reliant India by setting up world class manufacturing plants in India. Havells is creating socio-economic impact through its CSR initiatives in the Alwar region. The brand is providing hygienic and nutritious mid-day meal to 60000 school children across 693 schools in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Under WaSH, Havells has built around 4,000 bio toilets across 500 government schools in Alwar.
Havells commitment towards sustainability is deeply ingrained in their philosophy and influences their business strategies. Havells has also won the gold certificate in February 2021 from Indian Green Building Council for its Alwar manufacturing plant. The brand is striving to become a ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ company. Promoting the concept of the circular economy, Havells has turned one of their scrapyards at the Alwar plant site into a recycling plant. The brand also uses eco-friendly combustion techniques in the Alwar plant to ensure the reduction of secondary pollutants.
