Adding to the comfort of customers, Medkart, one of the leading omni-channel retail chains of generic medicines in India, on Monday announced that it has begun home delivering affordable medicines in Jaipur. Medkart opened its first store in the Pink City of Jaipur in 2018 and today, has a successfully running network of some 11 stores across the city. With this, Medkart is living true to its mission of providing quality medicines to its large loyal customer base at affordable prices through its omni-channel network.
Founded by Ankur Agarwal and Parasharan Chari, Medkart empowers people to lower their medical bills by providing access to best quality generic medicines at the most affordable rates. The leading retailer of WHO-GMP certified generic medicines has a network of 80+ retail outlets across India – predominantly in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Speaking about their plans, Parasharan, Co-founder, Medkart, said, “We have a sizeable network of 11 successfully running Medkart stores in Jaipur, enabling us to cater to some 50,000 direct, regular customers over the years. Medkart already has a mobile app using which customers can compare prices of the same medicine sold under different brand names and locate our vast network of stores. Adding further convenience to this, Medkart will now be offering home delivery services for medicines.”
Explaining how this works, Parasharan further added, “Customers can call the store directly or place an order through its app and the monthly requirement of affordable medicines can therefore be fulfilled. To begin with, home delivery will be available within a 3km radius from the store. Our sole endeavor is to reach out the maximum customers and provide them with affordable WHO-GMP certified generic medicines with utmost convenience.”
In other markets such as Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Surat &Vadodara in Gujarat, Medkart already offers home delivery of quality affordable medicines to its customers for seven years.
“Strengthening our digital presence is equally important for us as it is to expand our
geographical footprint. Making home delivery available in newer markets is a strategic step in this direction to be able to reassert our presence as an omni-channel retailer of quality generic medicines,” said Ankur, Co-founder, Medkart.
By far, Medkart has helped its Jaipur-based customers save Rs 2.5 crore cumulatively on their medical bills.
