In its continuous effort towards empowering children from underserved backgrounds across India with quality education and digital learning opportunities, BYJU’S Education for All has recently joined hands with IN-DEED Foundation, a Trust actively working in the education sector in Western Rajasthan. This partnership aims to positively impact the lives of over one lakh children across Rajasthan in the next three years. The initiative has already begun in Pali and Jodhpur with over 3000 licenses being distributed to students across government schools in the academic session 2021-22. Scaling up in a phased manner, the initiative aims to impact over 1 lakh children in the four districts by 2025.
In line with BYJU’S commitment to empower 10 million underprivileged children across India by 2025, BYJU’S Education for All and IN-DEED Foundation will jointly work towards educating and empowering children from lower income backgrounds between grades 4 to 12 across the four districts with BYJU’S high-quality, technology-enabled digital learning programmes. In academic session 2022-23, IN-DEED plans to install BYJU’S learning content across 50 government schools that will facilitate a one-to-many learning system and will further impact over 10,000 students between classes 4 to 8.
To reach out to the most deserving students, IN-DEED Foundation further plans to share BYJU’S individual learning licences with over 10,000 strong Home Guards personnel in Rajasthan. By Independence Day, August 15, 2022, wards of Home Guards personnel shall be able to access quality audio-visual content, interact with the best teachers, clear their doubts and master concepts, all of which will help them perform well in school.
Speaking about the collaboration, Mansi Kasliwal, VP-Social Initiatives, BYJU’S, said, “At BYJU’S, we are committed in our efforts to bridge the digital divide and make learning accessible to every child, irrespective of their socio-economic conditions, circumstances or gender. In line with our commitment, we are closely working with IN-DEED Foundation to ensure digital learning tools are made accessible to children across Rajasthan that will further empower them to pursue their goals. I am certain that together with like-minded partners, we can educate every child with digital learning programmes and give them a bright future.”
Vikram Rajola, Chairman, IN-DEED Foundation said, “IN-DEED Foundation aims to educate, empower and make a difference in lives of the large number of children studying in rural and government schools by helping them make informed choices in school and later during higher studies and professional careers. This is being done by making learning more engaging and interesting, where volunteers support understanding of difficult concepts and technology aids in orienting them towards improved academic performance.”
Launched in 2020, BYJU’S ‘Education for All’ is a social impact initiative that aims at
democratising education and ensuring that every child has an opportunity to learn. This initiative is committed to empowering children in the most remote geographies and underserved communities through digital learning. With a mission to empower 10 million underprivileged children by 2025 and bring a positive systemic change to the education ecosystem, BYJU’S Education for All has already impacted 3.4 million children through 120+ NGOs across 26 states.
