ICH NEXT, in collab with CMAI & GEAR, concludes the first leg of nationwide campaign in Jaipur

India’s only homegrown fashion forecaster ICH NEXT has successfully concluded the first leg of its nationwide ‘Unlock Business Success through In-Depth research’ Masterclass campaign in Jaipur. The Jaipur Masterclass, conducted by ICH Creative in collaboration with the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) and Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (GEAR), marked the participation of at least XX manufacturers, brands and other stakeholders from the fashion and apparel industries. ‘Unlock Business Success through In-Depth research’, a first-of-its-kind initiative, is aimed at benefitting apparel/lifestyle brands and manufacturers. A series of Masterclasses, emphasizing on the
value of research in manufacturing, are set to be organized in different regions across the country as part of the initiative. The attendees at the event included notable manufacturers of Jaipur such as Cotfab (India), Kiran Modes, Goodwill Impex, Jaipur Rugs amongst others.

“We were thrilled with the participation and queries from brands and manufacturers. The eagerness to not just innovate but also to incorporate research backed methods of forecasting in their manufacturing process for increased sales. Also, what kind of color palette, print, silhouette or fabric will be a hit with the consumers is the question which manufacturers in Jaipur and elsewhere are trying to decode, but rely mostly on limited research or a gut feeling. We are glad that we were able to answer all their questions with in-depth research backed data.” said the co-founders of ICH, Kanika Vohra and Anuradha Chandrashekar.

Further elaborating on the concept of Research & Forecasting, Kanika said that research-based on-trend design ideas is the best bet towards conscious creation for minimizing wasteful manufacturing and discounting. In wake of the ever-evolving consumer preferences, manufacturers/brands would also remain a step ahead with deep research and forecasting, giving consumers the right product at the right time and yielding ideal results.

Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India, added, “ICH Next method of deep Research and Forecast captures the prevailing consumer sentiment and encourages creation towards what the customer is seeking. We feel elated to be a part of this initiative that aids and abets good creation, and empowers clothing manufacturers to tap the pulse of consumers beforehand, thereby alleviating lost opportunities. Adding forecasting to the manufacturing process will help the whole industry by not just increasing their sales margins but also will help to cut the wastage. Thus, creating a win-win situation for everyone including environment”

Echoing the sentiments, Arun Gupta Hon. Secretary from GEAR said, “Our rich culture draws people from across the continents and with correct forecasting we can increase the cultural footprint not just in India but also across the globe where both Indian and Expats can take away something new and fine every season. We hope to export the rich Rajasthani culture beyond the borders and are convinced that Forecasting is the right way to meet the objective methodically.”
