Introducing ChatGPT Go – a new subscription plan built for India

OpenAI is today introducing ChatGPT Go, a new subscription plan designed to make advanced AI tools more accessible and affordable to users throughout India, as the adoption of OpenAI’s tools grows rapidly across the country.

Priced at ₹399/month (inclusive of GST), ChatGPT Go gives everyday users in India more access to ChatGPT’s most popular features, including higher message limits, image generation, file uploads, and memory—all powered by GPT-5, which features enhanced Indic language support.

And for the first time, all ChatGPT subscriptions can be paid through UPI, India’s most widely used digital payment method, making it easier than ever for people across India to access OpenAI’s advanced AI tools.

ChatGPT Go is designed for people in India who want greater access to ChatGPT’s advanced capabilities at a more affordable price.

It sits alongside existing subscription tiers, including ChatGPT Plus (₹1,999/month, inclusive of GST), which continues to offer priority access, faster performance, and higher usage limits for power users.  For professionals and enterprises who need the highest scale, customization, and access to our most advanced models, OpenAI also offers ChatGPT Pro (₹19,900/month, inclusive of GST).

India is ChatGPT’s second-largest, and one of its fastest growing markets. It is home to millions of ChatGPT users, including students, professionals, developers, entrepreneurs and creators, who use ChatGPT every day to learn something new, be more creative, and solve hard problems.

“We’ve been inspired by how millions of people in India use ChatGPT daily for learning, work, creativity, and problem-solving,” said Nick Turley, Vice President & Head of ChatGPT. “With ChatGPT Go, we’re excited to make these capabilities even more accessible and easier to pay for through UPI.”
