the Pink City — celebrated for its royal heritage, vibrant culture, and timeless values — is now set to host a historic call for climate action. Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, known as the Solar Man of India and Professor at IIT Bombay, will visit Jaipur from 26th to 31st August 2025 to promote the Finite Earth Movement (FEM) — a global, youth-centric call for urgent climate correction.
Prof. Solanki, who has dedicated 11 years to the Energy Swaraj Yatra (2020–2030), lives in a solar-powered bus and travels across India to engage with people — especially the youth — on climate change and how we must correct it.
Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki, known as the Solar Man of India, is bringing his 11-year Energy Swaraj Yatra to Jaipur with a series of power-packed events, workshops, and talks. Just as Jaipur is admired worldwide for preserving its forts, palaces, and culture, it can now be recognized for preserving something even more precious — our planet.
Through Jaipur’s people — youth, institutions, leaders, and citizens —FEM will spread the simple truth: On a finite planet, infinite consumption is not possible.
The Finite Earth Movement, launched on 5th June (World Environment Day), is built on one undeniable truth: The Earth is finite, its resources are finite — therefore our consumption must also be finite. FEM promotes mindful living and aligns with the vision of Mission LiFE of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The mission is ambitious yet essential —reaching 1 billion people by 2027 with a message of finite living.
