Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur, is set to host the prestigious 3rd R.K. Rastogi Memorial National Negotiation Competition on October 11th and 12th, 2025. This national event will bring together law students from over 36 universities and colleges across the country to practice and improve their negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) skills.
Judicial Presence at the Inaugural Ceremony
The competition’s Inaugural Ceremony on October 11th will be graced by eminent legal personalities. Justice Pankaj Mithal, Judge, Supreme Court of India, will be the Chief Guest, and Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, Acting Chief Justice, Rajasthan High Court, will attend as the Guest of Honour. Their presence underscores the importance of ADR in the current legal landscape.
Negotiation as Key to ADR and Reducing Court Burden
Mr. RajdeepakRastogi, Senior Advocate and Former Additional Solicitor General of India, emphasized the critical role of negotiation. He stated, “Negotiation is an invaluable mode of ADR. It not only offers a cost-effective and time-saving solution but is also instrumental in reducing the overwhelming burden on our courts. By resolving disputes amicably, we strengthen the social fabric and ensure swift justice.”
