Sakra World Hospital Becomes First in Karnataka to Achieve AACI Accreditation

Sakra World Hospital, India’s first 100% FDI-funded tertiary care hospital, has become the first hospital in Karnataka to receive accreditation from the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI), one of the most respected global healthcare accreditation bodies. This prestigious recognition reaffirms Sakra’s unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and global best practices in healthcare delivery.

Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Yuichi Nagano, Managing Director, Sakra World Hospital, said, “Achieving AACI accreditation is not merely a recognition, beyond strengthening Sakra’s position, this accreditation raises the bar for healthcare delivery in Karnataka and India, setting new standards for patient safety and quality. It also reinforces India’s growing reputation as a hub for world-class healthcare and medical tourism, while building greater trust among patients, insurers, and global partners. By aligning with internationally accredited practices, Sakra not only advances its own mission but also contributes to elevating the entire healthcare ecosystem.”

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Kei Iiyama, Deputy Managing Director, Sakra World Hospital, added, “This accreditation reflects the relentless efforts of our doctors, nurses, and support teams who work tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of care. The AACI framework enabled us to refine and elevate our processes, ensuring every patient receives treatment that is not only world-class but also compassionate and safe.”
