Vivekananda Global University (VGU) hosted the launch of its Road Safety Management Skill Enhancement Course (Credit Course as per New Education Policy ), a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting road safety awareness and developing skilled professionals in the field. The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Professor N.D. Mathur, President of VGU, Mr. M.R. Bagadiya, RAS (Retd.), Dr. Manoj Bhatt, IPS (Retd.), Shantanu Bhasin Trustee Muskaan and Other officials from the Muskaan Foundation for Road Safety and representatives of Traffic Police Jaipur.
The course, designed as a skill enhancement course under the New Education Policy, aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible road users and safety professionals. The course curriculum comprises five modules, covering legal frameworks, road safety data analysis, emergency response, defensive driving, and motor vehicle regulations.
With 188 students already registered, the course is being taught by faculty members Dr. Priya Modi from VGU, and Ms. Neha Khullar Executive Director Muskaan NGO and Mr. Sameer Nainawat Project Executive Muskaan Foundation for Road Safety. By offering this course, VGU aims to empower students to contribute to reducing road accidents and promoting a culture of safety on Indian roads.
