Pocket FM joins Jaipur Literature Festival 2026 as Official Storytelling Partner; Puts Writers at the Centre of India’s Next Storytelling Wave

At a time when storytelling is rapidly expanding beyond the printed page, Pocket FM, the
world’s leading audio series platform, has partnered with the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) 2026 as its Official Storytelling Partner. The association marks a decisive step in Pocket FM’s mission to place writers at the heart of a fast-growing creator economy, where stories are not only written and published, but also adapted, scaled, and monetised through audio-first formats.

Speaking on his participation, Ajit Kumar said, “Being part of the Jaipur Literature Festival is something I never imagined when I first began writing. Coming from a background where opportunities were limited, this moment feels deeply personal. Pocket FM trusted my voice and gave me a platform to reach audiences across the country. To share the stage with Ashwin Sanghi ji is both humbling and inspiring. Pocket FM showed me that writers today can dream bigger, experiment freely, and redefine what success truly means.”

Vineet Singh, SVP and Head, Brand Marketing and Partnerships, Pocket FM said, “At Pocket FM, we are deeply committed to building a strong, thriving community for writers. Our participation at Jaipur Literature Festival reflects this writer-first intent. We are proud that our writer Ajit Kumar will share the stage with the prolific author Ashwin Sanghi, reinforcing our belief in elevating original storytelling voices.”

Recognised globally as a landmark platform for literary dialogue, the Jaipur Literature Festival has long celebrated the written word. Pocket FM’s participation introduces a powerful new dimension to that conversation, spotlighting how writers today can build sustainable careers beyond traditional publishing. Through its episodic audio series model and creator-first ecosystem, Pocket FM has enabled thousands of writers to reach millions of listeners, redefining what literary success looks like in the digital era.

Central to Pocket FM’s presence at JLF 2026 is its Writers’ Benefits Programme, a nationwide initiative designed to discover, nurture, and reward emerging storytellers. The programme features various writing contests on the Pocket FM app, with cash prizes of up to ₹1 lakh per contest. These contests are anchored in high-concept storytelling universes such as Operation Right Now, Magical Beasts Academy, and Devon Ki Dastak, reinforcing Pocket FM’s commitment to democratising access to meaningful storytelling opportunities. Writers can participate directly by downloading the app, navigating to the ‘Write’ tab, and beginning immediately.

The platform’s writer-first philosophy is exemplified by Ajit Kumar, who was discovered
through one of Pocket FM’s writing initiatives and is now the author of the Hindi audio
blockbuster BrahmaYodha: The Destroyer, which has garnered close to 40 million plays in under six months. Ajit Kumar will be seen on stage at JLF 2026 in a special session titled ‘Off the Beaten Page’, alongside bestselling author Ashwin Sanghi, on 15 January 2026 at the Durbar Hall. The session will explore alternative literary journeys beyond traditional publishing, creative independence, evolving readerships, and how writers can define success on their own terms in a changing literary landscape.

Beyond the stage, Pocket FM will host an interactive booth at the festival, offering aspiring writers a chance to engage directly with the team, understand the mechanics of audio storytelling, and experience a live demo of Pocket FM Co-Pilot. With its presence at Jaipur Literature Festival 2026, Pocket FM reinforces a clear message: the future of storytelling is inclusive, writer-led, and format-agnostic—and writers will lead that transformation.
