AU Small Finance Bank and Jaipur District Administration launch ‘Saksham Jaipur Project’ to distribute Digital Maternal Health Kits in 25 government hospitals

AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), India’s largest small finance bank which has recently received RBI’s in-principle approval for transitioning to a universal bank, in collaboration with the Jaipur District Administration (JDA), has launched the Saksham Jaipur Project a forward-looking initiative designed to bring real-time, IoT-based monitoring to maternity wards across high-delivery-load government hospitals.

Under this initiative, 25 government hospitals across Jaipur district will be equipped with Vatsalya Digi Health Kits as part of the state’s flagship e-Vatsalya Yojna, an effort to replace error-prone manual entries with automated, accurate, and real-time health tracking.

At the heart of this program is the Vatsalya Digi Kit, a smart, Bluetooth-enabled toolkit equipped with medical-grade devices like fetal dopplers, digital BP machines, glucometers, and haemoglobinometry. These tools automatically sync with the state’s PCTS PrasavWatch platform, giving doctors and nurses instant access to vital maternal and fetal
health data right from the labor room.

Despite existing digital tools, delays in manual data entry often led to missed warning signs. eVatsalya solves this by cutting out the lag automating data capture, improving risk detection, and standardizing care pathways, especially in facilities under pressure.

eVatsalya joins the ranks of India’s boldest digital health innovations, alongside initiatives
like SaveMom in Karnataka and ASMAN in Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh all proving that smart tech can reach the last mile, save lives, and transform public health.

At the launch event, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, District Magistrate, Jaipur, handed over the
Vatsalya Digi Kits to hospital representatives in presence of AU officials.

This partnership exemplifies AU Small Finance Bank’s mission to create long-term,
impactful interventions in the healthcare sector, supporting the Government’s digital-first public health systems and ensuring better outcomes for mothers and newborns.
