PLASTINDIA 2026 Brings ‘Bharat Next’ Vision to Jaipur: Unveiling Opportunities in India’s $50 Billion Plastics Industry

The PLASTINDIA Foundation formally announced the upcoming edition of PLASTINDIA 2026 at launch event held in Jaipur, outlining the industry’s roadmap for sustainable growth, innovation, and global collaboration. Recognised as one of the world’s leading platforms for the plastics and polymer sector, PLASTINDIA 2026 will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, global exhibitors, startups, and technology providers from across the value chain.

The Jaipur launch marks an important milestone in PLASTINDIA 2026’s nationwide outreach, engaging regional industry stakeholders and reinforcing Rajasthan’s growing role in industrial manufacturing and investment.

Reaffirming its long-standing commitment to sustainability, PLASTINDIA 2026 is being planned as a zero-waste exhibition. The initiative will focus on waste segregation, recycling,
reuse of exhibition materials, and responsible on-ground operations, demonstrating how
large-scale industrial events can be conducted with minimal environmental impact. The
objective is to encourage both exhibitors and visitors to adopt sustainable practices across the plastics value chain.

PLASTINDIA 2026 is expected to span over 22 exhibition halls, covering an exhibition area
of 75000 square metres, and will showcase the complete plastics ecosystem, from raw
materials and machinery to processing technologies, recycling solutions, and industrial
applications. The exhibition will serve as a comprehensive platform for business networking, technology exchange, and global partnerships.

Innovation will be a key pillar of PLASTINDIA 2026, with focused initiatives to support
startups and emerging technologies. The Bharat Next Challenge, the PLASTINDIA Foundation’s flagship startup programme, will be conducted in association with IIM Calcutta.The initiative will identify high-potential startups working across material innovation, recycling, automation, and circular economy solutions. The top 10 startups will
receive ₹2 lakh+ prize money, along with structured mentorship from IIM Calcutta, and
opportunities for industry exposure and investor engagement.

PLASTINDIA 2026 will also host an exclusive CEO & Industry Leaders’ Meet, bringing
together senior industry leaders, policymakers, and global experts. The closed-door forum
will focus on strategic discussions around investment opportunities, technology adoption,
sustainability imperatives, and India’s positioning in the global plastics and polymer
ecosystem.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Alok Tibrewala, Chairman of the National Executive Council (NEC) said, “PLASTINDIA 2026 is not just an exhibition; it is a platform that reflects how the plastics industry is transforming itself through innovation, responsible manufacturing, and sustainability. The focus is on enabling industrial growth while aligning with national priorities and global environmental commitments.”

Highlighting the industry’s growth trajectory, Mr. Ravish Kamath, President PLASTINDIA Foundation, added, “India’s plastics industry is valued at over USD 50 billion and is growing at a CAGR of 8–10%, driven by demand from sectors such as infrastructure, automotive, healthcare, agriculture, and consumer goods. With increasing investments in recycling, advanced materials, and manufacturing capacity, PLASTINDIA 2026 will serve as a critical platform to showcase India’s capability to lead the next phase of global plastics growth in a responsible and sustainable manner.”
