Rekha Kumari, a teacher at GUPS Khodiya Balaji in Pali, has been recognised by Rangeet as its Teacher of the Month for August for her engagement with the Social Emotional & Ecological Knowledge (SEEK)© curriculum and participation in the Rangeet SEEKer Community.
For Rekha, teaching begins with learning. Before taking a lesson to her students, she reads through it on the Rangeet app, understands the activity and familiarises herself with its details. “I teach with great enjoyment, so before taking the class, I read the entire lesson in the app and understand the small points according to my own,” she says.
This simple practice reflects Rangeet’s Teachers First approach: supporting teachers not just with resources, but with opportunities to learn, experiment and grow in their own practice. Through SEEK, teachers use stories, games, experiments, art and activities to create more engaging learning experiences for children.
Rekha’s learning also extends beyond her classroom. Through the Rangeet SEEKer Community, she connects with other educators, shares experiences and learns from fellow teachers.
Her recognition is a celebration of the dedication and continued growth of teachers like Rekha, who are bringing new approaches to classrooms in Pali and across Rajasthan.
