Nuvoco’s Chittor Cement Plant (CCP) was awarded at the 21st National Energy Efficiency Unit Award for Excellence in Energy Management that was conducted virtually by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). CCP was recognized for its outstanding contribution in power savings. Achievements highlighted during the award ceremony were replacing HSD with tyre oil for Kiln firing, isolating four out of ten chambers of cooler bag house for power saving and reducing compressed air purging pressure in all major bag houses from 6.5 to 4.5 kg.
The award for ‘Excellence in Energy Management’ was received by Mr. Sanjay Kumar Tyagi, Vice President, Chittor Cement Plant along with his team members Mr. Sunil Chhaperwal, Assistant Vice President – Operations, CCP; Mr. Shital Bisen, Manager – Production, CCP and Mr. Dharmendra Chaudhary, Deputy Manager – Process, CCP in presence of other dignitaries and participants.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sanjay Kumar Tyagi said, “This is a proud moment for all of us at Nuvoco. This recognition from CII represents the industry’s acknowledgment of our efforts and out of the box ideas for the conservation of national resources. I would like to thank CII for providing a platform to showcase the achievements and overcome the shortcomings with mutual interaction with other industry leaders, which will help companies go a long way in fostering awareness in the area of energy efficiency.”
