As part of Nuvoco’s Swasth Bharat initiative, Nimbol Cement Plant (NCP) organized a free health check-up camp providing medical treatment and consultancy for several nearby villages in collaboration with Medical & Health Department of Rajasthan and SRKPS (Shikshit Rojgar Kendra Prabandhak Samiti).
The camp was conducted across Digarana, Nimbol, Anandpur Kalu, Sinla villages of Rajasthan across three days by a team of 7 Doctors comprising senior physicians, gynaecologists and other medical staff from the District Health Department, Pali. Through this initiative, approximately 910 patients were checked and provided with free medicines upon investigation.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Bhaskar Bishnoi, Sub-Divisional Magistrate; Dr. R. P Mridha, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Pali; Dr. Vikash Marwal, Deputy – CHMO; Dr. O. P. Choudhary, Jaitaran Block Chief Medical Officer (BCMO); Mr. Ranjan Chaudhary, Head – Shikshit Rojgar Kendra Prabandhak Samiti (SRKPS), Jhunjhunu and Mr. Uma Suryam Bolla, Vice President – Nimbol Cement Plant, Nuvoco.
In addition to the camp, Nuvoco also supported tobacco-free Rajasthan campaign in association with Rajasthan Government Health Department and were able to encourage approximately 120 people who attended the camp to initiate and take first step towards fight against tobacco and cigarettes.
