Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud offering, today hosted a media briefing about the strength of Jaipur’s startup ecosystem, AWS’s commitment to the success of startups, and strategies for growing and scaling a lean business on the AWS Cloud. The event was chaired by Kumara Raghavan, Head, AWS Startups India, Amazon Internet Services Private Limited. Nitish Bugalia, Head of Product and Strategy, MyTeam11participated in the session.
Jaipur is on its way to becoming a startup superpower:
Forming the third largest startup ecosystem globally, India’s startups accelerate GDP growth, provide jobs, and are a catalyst for innovation 1 . Jaipur’s emergence as a new startup hub is underpinned by initiatives like the government’s iStart program 2 , an integrated platform that offers resources to connect the stakeholders within the startup ecosystem and Bhamashah Techno Hub, the country’s biggest incubation center 3, which provides women-led startups access to world-class labs, modern equipment, world-class mentors, and industry networks as well as funding. Rajasthan’s startup policy focuses on addressing state-level challenges by facilitating startups to build low-cost, indigenous, and technology-enabled solutions.
Kumara Raghavan, Head, Startups India, Amazon Internet Services Private Limited said, “Innovation- driven by nature, startups are best known for their ability to leverage technology to introduce new solutions to age-old problems. India’s thriving and dynamic startup ecosystem has made a name for itself on the global stage, and Jaipur is driving a new wave of exciting startup activity backed by government-led initiatives. At AWS, our mission is to ensure that startups at even the earliest stages of growth have access to the world’s most advanced cloud technologies, enabling founders to bring their great business ideas to life. We also know that technology is often a startup’s biggest budget item as they’re getting started, and we’re committed to helping our customers build and run on a cost-effective foundation that’s ready for rapid growth.”
