Jaipur 30th May 2022: In order to create awareness on this growing epidemic, SRL conducted a scientific conclave on allergies in Jaipur. Large scale awareness amongst general population, care givers, within the medical community and policy makers is the need of the hour. Leading clinicians like Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Dr Mohit Poddar, Dr. Krishna Mohan, Dr. Sitesh Roy and Dr. Rajeev Bansal presided over important topics on allergy. The topics covered were halting the atopic march, allergy testing, urticarial management, asthma in Kids, latest guidelines to treat food allergies, diagnostic approaches for pediatric allergy etc.
Speaking on the conclave,Mr. Anand.K, Chief Executive Officer, SRL Diagnosticssaid “Patient risk-stratification is important to plan treatment and therapeutic strategies for allergic diseases. It is not relevant to plan patient management on phenotypic clustering basis evidence from other high-income countries considering the difference in environmental aspects, air pollution and even parasitic infestation in India. We look forward to co-creating more such awareness programs for the larger public and the medical community.”

In India, the burden of Asthma is estimated to be higher than those living with HIV infection or Tuberculosis. It is important to create a large scale awareness so that patients have access to the right diagnosis and proper management underpins a favorable clinical outcome.”
