Volvo Car India today showcased its first Electric Car– XC40 Recharge in Jaipur at their Rajasthan Volvo dealership. Volvo Car core offerings of safety and luxury form an integral part of XC40 Recharge. Volvo XC40 Recharge bookings will commence from July this year with deliveries slated to begin from October 2022 onwards. The all-electric SUV is part of Volvo’s ambitious plans to sell only electric cars from 2030. With this model, Volvo offers its customers advance technology like infotainment, built-in Google apps and services, including the Google Assistant, Google Maps. For customers XC40 Recharge will be available for test drive from 1 st to 3 rd July 2022.

Volvo XC40 Recharge is powered by a twin-motor. The SUV will deliver a power output of 408 bhp and 660Nm of peak torque. The electric motors are powered by a
78 kWh battery pack with a range of 418kms on a single charge range as per international test conditions (WLTP). It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds, quite identical to the conventional fuel-powered Volvo cars selling currently. The battery can be recharged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 33 minutes using a
fast charger (150KW with DC charger).
Volvo Car India also plans to bring one EV to India every year from 2022 onwards.
