Disney+ Hotstar recently launched the trailer of their upcoming psychological thriller Gaslight. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Tips Films Ltd. and Akshai Puri, 12th Street Entertainment and directed by Pavan Kirpalani, the film releases on 31st March, 2023 exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. The mind-bending, edge-of-the-seat thriller is helmed by Sara Ali Khan along with Vikrant Massey, Chitrangda Singh, Akshay Oberoi, Rahul Dev amongst others.
Director Pavan Kirpalani has an affinity towards the thriller genre and we couldn’t agree more. The ace director has shot several of his films in a short period of time and left us intrigued and hooked each time. Well, audiences will be surprised to know, his upcoming film, Gaslight was shot in just 36 days! This classic whodunnit was shot at Wankaner Palace in Gujarat.
Talking about this, Pavan Kirpalani said, “I have shot Gaslight in 36 days and it’s safe to say I can shoot a film within controlled budgets and tight schedules. With limited locations and detailed prepping, it is easier to shoot. I spent a month doing workshops with Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey and Chitrangda Singh for the film and they did a great job. They made everything look so effortless and helped create that sense of mystery which our shots required.”
