ReNew sets up Medical Emergency ward in Bikaner in collaboration with Rajasthan Govt

ReNew (ReNew Energy Global PLC), India’s leading clean energy company and a preferred decarbonisation partner, has facilitated an emergency ward at the SDM Government Satellite hospital located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This is the second such emergency ward established by ReNew in association with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

The emergency ward is equipped with the latest medical facilities and can treat around 1,000 patients per day. It will have 8 beds and address a range of emergency needs of patients in the locality.

The facility was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Education Minister of Rajasthan, Dr. Bulaki Das (B.D) Kalla. The Rajasthan state government has been working towards improving medical
access for its people, and this initiative by ReNew will augment healthcare standards in the
region.

Speaking at the inauguration, Hon’ Education Minister of Rajasthan, Dr. Kalla said, “The district hospital with state-of-the-art emergency ward will be able to treat patients suffering from various ailments and address longstanding issues like availability of proper medical facilities and access to quick and easy healthcare. To ensure that the patients are treated without interruptions, the new ward will be equipped with a 200 KVA generator for power backup. It will have 8 more beds and will be equipped with digital x-ray machines. We want to thank ReNew and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for supplementing the government’s efforts. Such initiatives will go a long way in raising healthcare standards in the state.”
