India Shelter, a leading housing finance company, is proud to announce its collaboration
with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a renowned NGO in-service to providing hot nutritious meals to Government & Government-Aided school children in India. This partnership aims to make a significant impact on the lives of children by ensuring they receive wholesome mid-day meals, thereby supporting their overall growth and development.
As part of this initiative, India Shelter has extended its monetary donation to serve a hot-nutritious mid-day meal benefiting a total of 2000 children of government & government-aided schools, across the Jaipur region, for the fiscal year 2022-2023. The donation will be utilized exclusively for providing mid-day meals to these children, ensuring they have access to a nutritious and balanced diet.
In recognition of this collaboration and to witness the impact firsthand, a visit to one of The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s schools and kitchens was organized on 18th May, 2023. The visit took place at the Vrindavan Mathura (Near Keshav Dham, Bhurja, Naubaramad) primary school, which is supported by The Akshaya Patra Foundation.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Rupinder Singh, Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer of India Shelter, emphasized the importance of ensuring every child’s plate is filled with nourishment. He stated, “In a world of abundance, let’s ensure every child’s plate is filled with nourishment.” Mr. Singh’s commitment to social welfare is a testament to India Shelter’s dedication to making a positive impact on society.
