AU Small Finance Bank Partners with Indian Army for ‘Battle of Minds’ Nationwide Quiz

AU Small Finance Bank, India’s largest SFB and a steadfast banking partner to the Adjutant General’s Branch and Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), today announced its collaboration with the Indian Army’s ‘Battle of Minds’ quiz. This is a nationwide initiative commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Kargil victory. With approximately 32,000 schools participating from across the country, this quiz aims to celebrate knowledge and foster educational growth among school children.

The grand finale of the ‘Battle of Minds’ quiz was held today at the prestigious Manekshaw Centre in Delhi. The event witnessed the convergence of the top 12 school teams from 6 commands, attended by key dignitaries including officials from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Senior Defence Officers, and Heads of all Defence bodies. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Indiaand General Manoj Pande (PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC), Chief
of Army Staff, Indian Army.
AU Small Finance Bank is honored to contribute towards the quiz competition under its Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) wing, aligning with its commitment to supporting education-related initiatives.
Expressing his gratitude on the occasion, Mr. Shoorveer Singh Shekhawat, Head of Swadesh Banking,
Government Business and Wholesale Deposits at AU Small Finance Bank, said, “On this momentous
occasion, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for their valour in the Kargil victory. It’s an
honour for AU Small Finance to stand alongside the Army in commemorating 25 years of this historic
triumph with an initiative focused on education of young India. This initiative aligns seamlessly with our
dedication to shaping a brighter, knowledge-driven future driven by the youth. AU Small Finance too has
been continuously working towards nurturing young minds through multiple initiatives of AU Foundation,
the CSR arm of the Bank. We hope more and more schools from across the nation join this grand
celebration of knowledge every year.”
AU Foundation, the CSR arm of AU Small Finance Bank, is actively involved in uplifting the areas where AU
SFB operates. The foundation focuses on education under its strategic project ‘Center of Excellence,’
wherein the Bank is working towards education and creating employment opportunities for the youth.
Over the past 5 years, AU Foundation has made significant strides in community service, empowering rural
women for livelihood enhancement through AU Udyogini; skill development for economically backward
youth via AU Skills Academy; sports for the development of underprivileged children, and financial and
digital literacy.
