TTK Prestige Ltd, India’s leading kitchen appliances brand brings down sellers of counterfeit ‘Prestige’ products. The team observed the sale of counterfeit Mixers under the brand name, Prestige and took legal action against the owner of Somani Enterprises & Warehouses, Mr. Bajrang Somani
The Rajasthan police conducted a raid in areas of Sujangarh, Churu and seized 29 pieces of duplicate Mixers under the brand name M/S TTK Prestige Limited. An FIR (Number 0189) under Section 63, 65 of the Copyright Act 1957 has been lodged at the Churu, Rajasthan Police Station and Mr. Bajrang Somani, owner of Somani Enterprises & Warehouses, has been arrested.
Consumers are advised to be aware when purchasing products under the “Prestige” brand. The sale and distribution of counterfeit products is likely to mislead consumers. Consumers should only buy from reliable platforms, authorized dealers, or any of the official Prestige Xclusive stores.
In response to the incident, a spokesperson from TTK Prestige said, “Counterfeiting is a significant issue that can mislead customers and harm a business’s reputation. The company is committed to taking the necessary precautions. Customers should only buy TTK Prestige products from authorized dealers, and they should always ask for a receipt. Ensuring that customers receive genuine items and that the company will take appropriate action against individuals involved in counterfeiting can be achieved through this measure.”
