Cipla Health’s Prolyte ORS has kicked off a nationwide campaign, “World Health Organization (W.H.O.) recommended formula nahi, toh ORS Asli nahi,” emphasizing the importance of using WHO-recommended Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) for optimal hydration. Launched on 29th July, on World ORS Day, the campaign educates consumers about the superior hydration benefits of WHO-approved ORS formulations.
A recent study found that the Beverage Hydration Index (BHI) of ORS is 1.5 times greater than water, highlighting its effectiveness. The campaign warns that many common beverages lack essential electrolytes, making them less effective for hydration. Through social media teasers and hoardings in Delhi, Prolyte ORS reinforces the message that only WHO-recommended ORS, like Prolyte ORS, meets the gold standard for combating dehydration.
Partnering with the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Prolyte ORS engages travelers at Howrah and Sealdah stations, distributing samples and promoting the benefits of #AsliORS. Nutritionists and dieticians demonstrate the health advantages of Prolyte ORS, including its low-calorie content and flavors like Tangy Orange. Educational videos in regional languages and CME sessions for pediatricians further spread awareness.
Cipla Health CEO Shivam Puri stated, “Hydration is key for wellness, and Prolyte ORS is our solution for India’s daily hydration needs. Our campaign aims to educate consumers on the importance of staying hydrated with WHO-recommended ORS formulations.”
