Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power, in collaboration with RajCOMP Info Services Limited (RISL), an entity under the Department of Information Technology & Communications (DOIT&C), Government of Rajasthan, is spearheading a unique energy efficiency minitiative in the state. This partnership leverages the extensive e-Mitra network to drive awareness and access to energy-efficient solutions for the citizens of Rajasthan.
In a significant development, EESL and RISL jointly organised a Review Meeting cum Refresher Training Session in Jaipur. The session was chaired by Shri Vishal Kapoor, CEO of EESL, and attended by Shri Umesh Chand Joshi, Joint Director of RISL. Shri Animesh Mishra, Chief General Manager and Head (Sales and PR), EESL, Shri Adesh Saxena, Retail Sales Head, EESL and Smt. Savitri Singh, Western Regional Cluster Head, EESL, were also present. The objective of the session was to assess the progress of the energy-efficient product rollout and explore strategies to further strengthen implementation through Rajasthan’s e-Mitra network.
A key highlight of the event was the virtual participation of the top 30 performing e-Mitra representatives from across the state, along with the enthusiastic physical presence of Local Service Providers (LSPs). These community-level partners were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the promotion and sale of EESL’s energy-efficient appliances, including LED bulbs, tube lights, fans, and other energy-saving products.
The interactive training and progress meeting aimed to empower stakeholders with the latest updates and tools. It included a comprehensive progress review and field-level feedback session, an overview of EESL’s latest product offerings available on the RISL portal for e-Mitras, a live demonstration of the platform with hands-on training for order placement and backend operations, and an open discussion to address implementation
challenges and gather actionable insights from the field.
During the interaction, Shri Kapoor commended the e-Mitras for their grassroots efforts
and encouraged them to further amplify awareness and sales of energy-efficient solutions, especially in rural and underserved areas. Attendees were also invited to present field reports and share challenges, which were constructively addressed by subject matter experts from EESL and RISL.
With a network of over 75,000 e-Mitras spread across Rajasthan, this model presents a
powerful and scalable channel to take EESL’s energy-efficient offerings to even the remotest corners of the state. This innovative collaboration not only enhances last-mile service delivery but also sets a precedent for other states to replicate in their journey toward sustainable energy access.
This initiative reflects Rajasthan’s commitment to sustainability and digital inclusion, and
reinforces EESL’s mission to deliver scalable and impactful energy efficiency solutions that benefit citizens and local entrepreneurs alike.
