St. Jude India ChildCare Centres Expands Jaipur Facility, Bringing Hope to More Children Battling Cancer

St. Jude India ChildCare Centres (St. Judes) has unveiled a transformative expansion of its Kavita Care Centre in Jaipur, significantly increasing its capacity to provide free, safe, and nurturing accommodation for children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. This milestone strengthens St. Judes’ mission to offer holistic care, giving young cancer warriors a ‘home away from home’ during their fight.

The expanded Kavita Cancer Care Centre now boasts 77 family units, up from 40, with the
addition of 37 new units: 24 specialized units for children undergoing Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT) and 13 dedicated to paediatric oncology patients. Nestled in Jaipur’s serene landscapes, the centre serves families from districts like Bharatpur, Pali, Sikar and Chomu, who seek treatment at SMS Hospital, JK Lon Hospital, Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital, and Mahatma Gandhi Hospital.

“The journey with St. Judes began 12 years ago when we saw their life-changing work in
Mumbai,” said Mr. Ashish Kanodia, Director, Shri Balaji Industrial Products Limited. “We were immediately impressed and to further our social cause, took a decision to open a centre with them in Jaipur with 40 beds and named it Kavita Cancer Care Centre. We are proud to say that the centre has been functional ever since and runs very effectively. Due to the growing need, we have now taken a decision to expand the centre by adding another 37 beds. We pray this expanded facility continues to transform lives.”

Anil Nair, CEO of St. Judes, added, “At St. Judes, we don’t just provide a bed—we create a nurturing environment where children can fight cancer with dignity and strength. This
expansion allows us to support more families in Rajasthan, giving every child a better shot at a healthy, happy future.”
