Sankara Eye Hospital, Jaipur Observes Eye Donation Fortnight 2025 with Community Awareness Initiatives

Eye Donation Fortnight 2025 was marked with enthusiasm at Sankara Eye Hospital, Jaipur, where a variety of interactive activities were organized to spread awareness about the noble act of eye donation. From installing a selfie station with props and digital pledge certificates at the hospital to conducting awareness talks at the Pensioner Society in Murlipura with the participation of 59 senior citizens, the fortnight focused on engaging people of all ages and encouraging them to take the pledge to give the gift of vision.

The campaign further reached residential neighbourhoods through awareness banners displayed at society gates, while children were involved through an engaging program at Jaipur School. Students underwent eye screenings, attended an interactive talk, and showcased their creativity in a drawing competition on the theme “The Gift of Sight / Vision for All.”

Reflecting on the initiative, Dr. Nishant Jain, Unit Head, SankaraEye Hospital, Jaipur, said: “Eye donation is not just about restoring sight—it is about transforming lives. Millions in India live in darkness due to corneal blindness, and a single pledge can open the world of vision for two individuals. Through this campaign, we want to inspire people across Jaipur to take that step, break the myths, and embrace eye donation as a lasting legacy of hope.”

Eye donation holds the power to give someone a second chance at life by restoring their ability to see. With millions waiting for corneal transplants in India, every pledge brings hope and light to those living in darkness. Sankara Eye Hospital, Jaipur, through its awareness efforts, reaffirms the message that eye donation is a gift that truly lives on beyond one’s lifetime.
