Daikin & Govt. Ram Chandra Khaitan Polytechnic College, Jaipur Join Hands in Supporting Skill India Initiative

Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL), a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, the world’s No. 1 air-conditioning company and Govt. Ram Chandra Khaitan Polytechnic College, Jaipur have come together to support Skill India Initiative. This strategic collaboration underscores their shared commitment to empowering the nation’s youth with industry-relevant skills. As a tangible step towards this goal, Daikin and Khaitan Polytechnic have jointly inaugurated a Center of Excellence (Air-conditioning –HVAC), marking a significant milestone in fostering a skilled workforce for India’s future.

In India, there is a pressing need to address the skill development requirements of the youth to enhance their employability prospects. With a rapidly growing economy and evolving job market, it is crucial for the youth to acquire relevant skills and knowledge that
align with industry demands. Bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application is essential to ensure that the youth are equipped to meet the diverse challenges of the workplace. Collaborative efforts between government bodies, educational
institutions, and industry players are instrumental in designing skill development programs
that cater to the specific needs of various sectors. By focusing on fostering a skilled workforce, India can empower its youth to succeed in the competitive job market and contribute effectively to the country’s overall growth and development.

These facilities,known as Daikin Center of Excellence (CoE), will be expanded to other institutes and this collaborative relationship with educational institutions will provide a platform for students to develop skills as per international standards in new Technologies, helping them bettertheir employability. The COEs supported by Daikin, remain reinforced with many Daikin technologies, working models, literature & study material for the students & faculty.

By focusing on fostering a skilled workforce, India can empower its youth to succeed in the
competitive job market and contribute effectively to the country’s’ overall growth and development.Govt. Ram Chandra Khaitan Polytechnic College, Jaipur, established in 1978, is a premium institute of Rajasthan, which imparts technical education in engineering stream for more than four decades and it holds strength of more than 1000 students together in various technical departments. Faculties are associated with different professional bodies as ISTE, IEI, ISHRAE etc. Their Industry Institute Interaction cell focuses on personality development programs, skills and placement activities of students.

Daikin and Khaitan Polytechnic are dedicated to sharing their extensive training resources
with all institutes. As a part of this partnership, deserving students will be considered for
placement opportunities within Daikin or their channel partners. These opportunities may
include internships, involvement in live projects, or fixed-term employment contracts. By
providing access to such practical experiences, we aim to further enhance the students’
skills and increase their chances of successful career placement in the air conditioning
industry.

The Daikin HVAC Centre of Excellence will commence operations in December 2025. It will
not only drive innovation in HVAC technology but also serve as a training centre for engineers, technicians, and industry professionals, further enhancing the skill set and knowledge base in the HVAC sector.
