Empowering Young Minds: Hulladek Along With Godrej Brings E-Waste Awareness To Jaipur Classrooms

Hulladek Recycling, in association with the Appliances business of Godrej Enterprises Group, recently conducted a series of awareness workshops across prominent schools and colleges in Jaipur, including Maheshwari Public School and JK University. These sessions were designed to introduce students to the growing challenge of e-waste and the critical need for responsible recycling practices. Through interactive discussions, real-life examples, and engaging activities, students were encouraged to rethink their relationship with electronic consumption and disposal.

The workshops focused on simplifying complex concepts around e-waste – what it is, why it is hazardous, and how improper disposal impacts both the environment and human health. By creating a space for dialogue, the sessions allowed students to ask questions, share their perspectives, and understand how small, individual actions can contribute to a larger sustainable ecosystem. The initiative aimed not just at awareness, but at inspiring behavioural change at a young age, making students active participants in the sustainability movement.

“Awareness is the first and most powerful step towards change. When students begin to understand the impact of their everyday choices, they don’t just become informed individuals – they become advocates for a more sustainable future. Our goal is to make e-waste a conversation that starts early and stays for life”, said Ms Priyasha Singhania, EVP Branding & Communication, Hulladek Recycling.

Over the years, Hulladek Recycling has consistently worked towards bridging the significant awareness gap that exists in India around e-waste management. Despite the rapid rise in electronic consumption, a large portion of discarded devices still ends up in informal channels or landfills due to limited understanding of proper disposal methods. Through sustained awareness programs, workshops and collection drives, Hulladek has been actively educating communities, institutions and corporates on responsible recycling practices. The organization believes that awareness is as critical as infrastructure in solving the e-waste crisis. By combining on-ground action with education, Hulladek continues to drive long-term behavioural change and build a more informed and environmentally conscious society.
