A vibrant cultural celebration of Maharashtra Day was witnessed during the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals in Jaipur. The Sawai Mansingh Stadium resonated with chants of ‘Jai Maharashtra’ and ‘Jai Bhavani – Jai Shivaji’, energizing the atmosphere.
Maharashtra Day is celebrated on May 1 across the state with various events. However, the celebration in Jaipur stood out as it showcased traditional Marathi attire, drawing admiration and enthusiasm from the audience.
During the match, the Maharashtra Day celebration was conducted with great enthusiasm. A troupe of 60 performers, dressed as Peshwas and Maratha warriors, enjoyed the match among the spectators. Women participants also added to the cultural vibrancy by wearing traditional Nauvari sarees.
The performers delivered a high-energy presentation, beautifully blending sports with culture. Notably, other spectators at the stadium appreciated the initiative and eagerly clicked selfies with the performers.
