Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., India’s trusted building materials company, has successfully completed the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training and certification programme for 75 masons under its flagship CSR initiative, NUVO Mason, at Chittor Cement Plant (CCP), Rajasthan.
Mr. Ranjeet Desai, Plant Head, Chittor Cement Plant, Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., said: “NUVO Mason reflects our commitment to empowering communities by recognising and strengthening the skills of masons. Through the RPL framework, we provide formal recognition of their existing capabilities while helping them adopt modern construction practices and enhance their professional skills. By strengthening essential masonry skills among youth and workers in the unorganised sector, we aim to improve livelihood opportunities and support greater financial independence. The initiative enhances their technical capabilities while creating pathways towards sustainable livelihoods, reflecting our core value of Care.”
A total of 75 masons were trained through three batches under the programme. The successful completion of the programme was marked by a closing and certificate distribution ceremony held on September 8, 2026, in the presence of Mr. Ranjeet Desai, Plant Head, Chittor Cement Plant, who attended the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the event, certificates and safety kits comprising T-shirts, safety jackets, helmets and safety shoes were distributed to all participating masons in recognition of their successful completion of the programme and Nuvoco’s continued emphasis on safe working practices.
