Jaipur-headquartered smart vending startup, Vending Brothers, plans to deploy over 500 vending machines across Rajasthan over the next 6 to 12 months, with a stronger focus on Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
Founded in September 2019 by Alankrit Jangid and Garvit Khandelwal, Vending Brothers currently operates a network of more than 400 smart vending machines placed across 27+ cities in India. The company plans to grow this footprint by penetrating into untapped locations across Rajasthan, targeting high-footfall environments where consumers can access packaged food, snacks, and other everyday products through automated retail points.
The planned expansion will cover cities like Ajmer, Bhilwara, Neemrana, Kishangarh, Kota, Niwai, Nimbahera, Alwar, Sikar, and Bikaner. The expansion will deepen the company’s presence in its home state as it aims to take automated retail beyond established urban centres and into emerging consumption markets.
The expansion comes at a time when the company is exploring opportunities to integrate vending infrastructure into a wider range of public and commercial spaces. Its recent deployment across seven Jaipur Metro stations marks a step in this direction, bringing its retail format into the city’s urban transit network.
For Vending Brothers, the next phase of growth will come from establishing a broader presence across cities while bolstering the supply chain, logistics, and distribution partnerships required to support a geographically dispersed network. Tier-II and Tier-III markets are a key part of this strategy and also offer opportunities to establish automated retail in locations beyond the conventional high-street and large-format retail ecosystem.
Speaking on this development, Alankrit Jangid, Founder & Director of Vending Brothers, shared, “Our next phase of growth is about taking the model beyond the larger cities and building a stronger presence across Rajasthan. We believe in bringing world-class technology to smaller cities to uplift their local economies, especially in our home state of Rajasthan. We see an opportunity to make everyday products more accessible through vending machines in locations where convenience and speed matter to consumers. But scaling this business is not just about installing more machines; it requires the right locations, reliable replenishment, and a supply chain that can support the network consistently. That is where we will be focusing our efforts over the next 6 to 12 months.”
The company began operations with two vending machines in February 2020. Its technology-enabled machines offer cashless payment options, touchscreen interfaces, and connected inventory monitoring, allowing operators to track stock and manage replenishment remotely.
The Rajasthan expansion is part of the company’s broader plan to scale its network to more than 600 machines over the next 10 to 20 months, while increasing its reach across Tier-II and Tier-III markets. As it expands, the company aims to build the operational capabilities and distribution relationships required to serve a larger number of locations.
