Shooting the diversity arrow straight; the Company has also managed to hire equal numbers of both male and female candidates throughout the year.
DXC Technologies announced on August 27 that it has onboarded 500 women candidates in a single day! All the candidates, who come from leading engineering institutes and campuses, have begun their journey at DXC.
The American multinational has been driving the diversity agenda forward through its hiring process this year. Throughout 2020 it has been on a hiring spree taking on around 5000 candidates in total. Out of these, around 50 per cent are women. Given that diversity is one of the core tenets of its growth policy, the Company has surely lead by example.
Even after pulling through such a feat, the technology company has no plans to stop anytime soon. As part of its agenda for the next year, it aims to increase the number of hires. It expects the increase in headcount to allow it to serve its customers better and create; the right representation across the organization.
Getting equal numbers of both male and female candidates onboarded in a single year hits the nail right in the center of its diversity agenda. Its actions are in tune with its aim to promote a healthy gender balance and provide equal opportunities for growth.
Lokendra Sethi, vice president and India HR leader, DXC, says; “We strongly believe that an inclusive culture powers better business results.
