The Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoITC), Government of Rajasthan, in collaboration with the leading start-ups Tinkerly, Study base, and Code Vidhya, organized the first-ever iStart-Ideathon in Jaipur on September 9th at the JECRC University auditorium. Over 450 teams from schools and colleges in Jaipur registered for this event. From these teams, 19 teams from schools and 16 teams from colleges were selected to present their ideas in front of industry experts. This program provided a unique opportunity for students to showcase their creative thinking skills.

Software, Dr Sheenu Jhawar President Tie Rajasthan & Director Apex hospitals, Mr Ravi Handa, Ed tech Entrepreneur and others . Following this, there were discussions among school principals, prominent educators, and teachers regarding career counselling sessions and the Launchpad initiative for school students. The program included presentations by young entrepreneurs, a brainstorming talk show, and award distribution. This event also highlighted the focus on “Rajasthan Mission 2030,” initiated by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, aiming to make Rajasthan powerful and prosperous. It underscores the state government’s commitment to comprehensive development, residents’ well-being, and social security.
Mr. Sharad Bansal, Director and CEO of Tinkerly, emphasized that this event provides a platform for school and college students to showcase their ideas, helping them gain recognition for their abilities. The government’s intention is to encourage children who might have hesitations or lack access to such platforms. Based on the government’s roadmap, these children will be supported and encouraged to progress further. The selection process is based on their ideas and talents, ensuring equal opportunities for all, whether they attend government or private schools or live in urban or rural areas.
In the college category, the team led by Mehar Sharma from Manipal University received the first prize, the team of Japiuria Institute of Management under the leadership of Arpit
Khandelwal received the second prize, and the team “Varun Chahar” from Poornima
College, was awarded the third prize, with cash awards of 50,000, 25,000, and 15,000 rupees, respectively.
In the school category, the team led by Tanu Jangid from New Kesri Vidyapeeth School received the first prize, the team from Neerja Modi School under the leadership of Jaidityasingh Shekhawat received the second prize, and the team from Cambridge Court High School, led by Bhavya Agarwal received the third prize, with cash awards of 25,000, 15,000, and 10,000 rupees, respectively.
This event was a significant step in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth of Jaipur. It provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents and learn from experienced professionals.
