Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT), India’s leading table tennis league, has renewed its partnership with Indian Oil as the Title Sponsor for the 2024 season, set to take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai from August 22 to September 7. This season marks a historic moment as the league expands to feature eight teams, including new entrants Jaipur Patriots and Ahmedabad SG Pipers, alongside defending champions Goa Challengers and other prominent teams like Chennai Lions, Dabang Delhi TTC, U Mumba TT, Puneri Paltan Table Tennis, and PBG Bengaluru Smashers.
UTT Promoters Vita Dani and Niraj Bajaj expressed enthusiasm about Indian Oil’s continued support, highlighting the significance of partnering with one of India’s largest companies to elevate the sport’s profile. Indian Oil, ranked as India’s top Energy PSU on the Fortune Global 500 list for 2023, will gain extensive visibility through court branding and exclusive sponsorship of “Indian Oil Time Out,” showcasing their commitment to excellence in sports.
Sandeep Sharma, Executive Director (Corporate Communications & Branding) at Indian Oil, stated, “We are proud to support the growth of table tennis in India and contribute to fostering a vibrant sporting culture through our partnership with UTT.”
This year, the league introduces a new format, dividing teams into two groups of four. Each team will compete in five ties, playing against all teams in their group and two randomly selected teams from the opposite group, determined by a draw.
