The JITO Premier League (JPL) 2026 got off to a spectacular start in Colombo, marking a significant new milestone in the journey of community cricket. The grand opening ceremony brought together cricketing icons, celebrated personalities, JITO leaders, franchise owners and players, setting the stage for an exciting and ambitious new chapter for the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO).
The star-studded ceremony featured Suryakumar Yadav, India’s T20 World Cup-winning captain and JPL Brand Ambassador, alongside Sri Lankan cricket legend Sanath Jayasuriya. Adding glamour to the occasion was Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017, while popular Sri Lankan singer Yohani enthralled the audience with her musical performance.
The occasion was graced by Himanshubhai Shah, Vice Chairman, JITO Apex; Vijaybhai Bhandari, President, JITO Apex; Kamleshji Sojatia, Vice President, JITO Apex; Sampatrajji Chaplot, Working In-Charge, JITO Sports; Jinendraji Munot, Director In-Charge, JITO Premier League; and D.K. Jain, along with senior members of the JITO fraternity, franchise owners, players and members of the league management.
At the heart of the JITO Premier League is the vision of Vicky Oswal, Chairman, JITO Premier League, who envisioned creating a professionally structured cricket league for the JITO community and taking it to an international platform.
What began as an ambitious idea has now evolved into a professionally managed, franchise-based cricket league in Colombo, bringing together teams, franchise owners and players in a highly competitive sporting environment.
Oswal’s vision extends well beyond the boundaries of the cricket field. The JITO Premier League seeks to create a platform that connects the community, encourages younger generations to embrace competitive sport and strengthens relationships across the wider JITO fraternity.
With cricketing legends, international personalities, senior JITO leadership, franchise owners and players coming together for its grand opening, JPL 2026 has made a powerful statement right from the outset.
