The property remains closed with many unemployed staff.
One of the crown jewels of the Marriott Hotels in India has been the JW Marriott Jaipur Resort and Spa. This 200-key which is a palace has been one of the best Marriott Hotels in India since it’s inauguration in 2018.
The property also made it to the agenda of the whistle-stop tour of Arne Sorenson. The CEO of Marriott International, to India in 2018, when he arrived to inaugurate the 100th Marriott hotel in India.
The world’s renowned Hotel chain JW Marriott (located in kukas) will no longer be a part of Jaipur city. The owner Tulsi Palace Resorts Group – Vikram Sukhani, has ended the contract with Marriott group.
Due to COVID-19 and a fall in the hospitality sector, Sukhani requested the management not to distribute the bonus amount.
But, in the first week of May, he noticed that the management has distributed the bonus for the year.
Mr. Sukhani found out about the bonus, he came to know 98 lakh rupees bonus was distributed among the personnel.
He found out, only 73 lakh rupees were distributed between 5-6 personnel amongst the top management. And the rest 25 lakh between the remaining.
However, Sukhani was not provided with any part of bonus.
Sukhani’s advocate also reveals that 22 personnel presented a complaint before Labor Commissioner against JW Marriott regarding the bonus for the year.
The agreement was terminated on 7th July 2020. It resulted in the unemployment of several employees.
