Exxaro Tiles Limited, one of India’s leading manufacturers of vitrified and glazed tiles, proudly announces the installation of a 5 MW DC solar power project at Gorol, Idar, Gujarat. The initiative reinforces Exxaro’s commitment to sustainability, operational efficiency, and responsible manufacturing.
The solar project, set up on leased land for 25 years and 4 months, is dedicated to captive
consumption for the Company’s manufacturing unit at Talod, Gujarat. This plant currently
consumes around 21 million electricity units annually. With solar energy now supplementing operations, the Company expects to save approximately ₹5.67 crore per
annum, translating to a 30% reduction in energy costs at the unit.
